The MacKay is a historic rustic cottage located right around the corner from the village of Eagles Mere
.
Step inside to the main level which offers a great room with a lounge area around the wood burning stove, a bar with stools, and a gaming area that has a pool table and pinball machine! Off of the great room, there is a bedroom with a king size bed with a large window to bring in the sun. The second bedroom on the main level offers a double size bed with French doors leading to the porch. There is a his and hers bathroom with a shower stall. There is an additional living room that is open to the dining room and kitchen. The living room has a flat screen television so you can watch the football game while you're cooking dinner! To complete the main level, there is a laundry area with a washer and dryer, which leads to the second floor.
The second floor has three bedrooms; the first and second bedroom has double beds, the third bedroom is a Master with a queen size bed. Full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. There are two twin beds in the hallway for additional sleeping arrangements.
There is a large deck with a propane grill and seating to enjoy dinner and wildlife coming to the pond.
The Mackay sleeps up to ten, maximum twelve. This is a non-smoking cottage. Dogs are negotiable with a non-refundable pet fee. Wifi is available at The MacKay, but cannot be guaranteed.

This house provided plenty of fun for both families to enjoy! Who knew Pinball could keep five kids entertained so much? The location of the home worked well and the backyard and large deck were perfect for get togethers. The house isn’t for someone looking for any sort of luxury accommodations – campy is how we described it. A hot week with no air conditioners and we did invest in a few smoke detectors and fans because we could not find any at the home, but I would recommend this home as long as you know the upsides and downsides. We created some great memories and look forward to our next trip to Eagle’s Mere!
