We were three parts of one family gathering from all over the country. Ages ranged from 7 to 80 and this home was perfect for all of us! There is a bedroom bathroom on the ground level for anyone not good with stairs. There were two staircases to access the 2nd floor, which made it convenient for everyone. One of the bedrooms upstairs had 8 beds!!!! Perfect room for lots of kids.
The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and serving meals. We ate most of our lunches and dinners out, but cooked big breakfasts at home everyday. There is a large griddle that makes it so easy to cook for a large group. Cleaning the griddle took some care, but it was worth it to cook for a group of 8 and having everyone eat together.
Wood was provided for fires, and there were three fireplaces to choose from – two indoor, and one outdoor….in addition to a fire pit. The location wasn’t really within walking distance to the town or the lake, but it was a beautiful wooded location that was extremely comfortable for our family. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it to others.
